This polished piece of marble containing several orthoceras fossils makes an excellent paperweight or just an object to admire. Orthoceras are primitive, straight-shelled members of the Ammonoid family of cephalopods. They inhabited the oceans of what are now the Atlas Mountains of Erfoud, Morocco some 365 million years ago during the Devonian Period.
