This sculptural polished piece was crafted and polished from fossiliferous marble. It displays the natural remains of small Goniatite ammonoids. Goniatites are primitive members of the Ammonoid family. They are cephalopods that inhabited the oceans of what are now the Atlas Mountains of Erfoud, Morocco some 365 million years ago during the Devonian Period.
