Andalusiana cornuta trilobite from Djebel Ougrat, Morocco. Extinct ancestors of crabs and shrimp, this species of trilobite is from the Early Cambrian Period 495 million years ago. These bottom dwelling critters flourished throughout the early Paleozoic Era. They decreased in diversity until they disappeared in the Permian Extinction about 240 million years ago. Includes metal display stand.
