Orthoceras Marble Dish with Goniatite SOLD

$25.00
sold out

This piece of orthoceras marble was transformed into a unique fish dish with a Goniatite eye that will spark many conversations. Orthoceras are straight-shelled cephalopods that inhabited the oceans of what are now the Atlas Mountains of Erfoud, Morocco some 365 million years ago during the Devonian Period. Goniatites are primitive members of the Ammonoid family that shared the same oceans with the Orthoceras. Note that vinegar and other acids will etch the marble and remove the polish so no olives, pickles, etc. on this platter.

Size: 8” x 5” x 3/4” tall, Weight: 1 lb
