Goniatite Dish SOLD

$24.00
sold out

This cute little dish was crafted and polished from fossiliferous marble. It displays the addition of a small Goniatite ammonoid. Goniatites are primitive members of the Ammonoid family. They are cephalopods that inhabited the oceans of what are now the Atlas Mountains of Erfoud, Morocco some 365 million years ago during the Devonian Period. Note that vinegar and other acids will etch the marble and remove the polish so no olives, pickles, etc. on this platter.

Size: 5” by 3 1/2” by 1”, Weight: 1/2 lb
